God @ Ground Zero by Chaplain Ray Guinta with Lynda Rutledge Stephenson
Publisher: Integrity Publishers. Brentwood, Tennessee
- From the back of the book--"This is the riveting account of criminal investigator-turned-crisis chaplain, Ray Guinta, as he spends 68 days at Ground Zero after the worst terrorist attack in American history....We join Ray in discovering something beyond Ground Zero, something much more profound and personal--life lessons in the midst of death and destruction about the power, love, and faithfulness of a God who is near, a God of transformation and grace."
In my own words--A wonderful account of a godly man who helped in a devastating time in the lives of many Americans. Parts of his account are graphic. Yet, I came away with a feeling of better understanding of what the people of NY went through on that horrific day and the many days, months and years to follow. Through it all, Ray Guinta never loses his focus: that God was and still is with all those people, bringing people closer to Him, even through tragic events.
